Surviving Sexual Trauma and After

Sexual trauma is a deeply traumatic experience that can leave survivors feeling scared and powerless. My psychosexual therapeutic approach is based on the working styles and theory of Silva Neves and Judith Lewis Herman, focusing on a 3 Stage approach, at all times putting the comfort and safety of the client at the heart. The approach is designed to help survivors of sexual trauma reclaim their power and find a path towards healing. I use a variety of techniques, including Compassion Focused Therapy, ACT and mindfulness-based interventions, to help individuals overcome the physical, emotional, and psychological effects of trauma. We may not be able to change the past, but we can change the way it may be impacting your life in the here and now. I work closely with each patient to develop a personalized treatment plan that is tailored to their individual needs. If you or someone you love has experienced sexual trauma, contact me today to learn more about how I can help.

What would be a good outcome for you after accessing therapy?

Why now? What is happening in your life now that makes it a time that you consider a more proactive approach to processing this struggle?

What keeps you going? What elements are in your life that continue to give it meaning?
